Their passion for their work is mind-blowing and they’re deep understanding of who they are, what and who they love along with the sheer happiness and fulfillment that dances in their eye was memorizing. The group has one of the first most successful campaigns on Kickstarter drawing in a total of 1,130 backers that equaled out to $132,538 in start-up money for their book project.

Creative Marketing Material

Many start-ups know how expensive marketing material can be. Especially when they hire someone else to do it; they don’t do it themselves because they don’t know where to start or how to begin. There are so many aspects that need to be taken into consideration in order to create effective material. I can’t say it’s easy but it sure does take time which is why marketing company’s charge as high as $16,000 – $50 000 for a small business (depending on the services). The $16,000 package would probably include a few flyer templates, a business logo and concept, a website layout etc.  Here are a few ways to help you come up with a concept and a list of materials you NEED to have for successful promotions:

Come up with your own custom made templates – never copy one off the internet OR allow your marketing company to take the same idea as another company but change it a bit. It doesn’t look good especially if someone starts a scene about it. It’ll ruin all your hard work – be careful.

Take your OWN photos – don’t buy photos off those photo stores online. Why do you think they’re so cheap? Because everyone is buying them and already have them. Be original and come up with your own concepts – it makes you look so much better. If you suck at photography there are loads of people who love doing photography as a hobby offer them $100 or another currency in return for their help.

Do your research – if you can’t think of anything original then look up a few other companies. Don’t steal their entire concept but take little details/parts of MANY companies and mold it into your own original creation. Figure out what colors to use (check my blog post ‘’Create & Design Your Business Image’’ for a link describing what each color reflects)

Make original shapes, paper cuts and content. Why be average when you can win your clients over by being original? Come up with something that will seriously impress people.

I hope this helps in some way or another. Good luck in making the material and content! Til next time!

Please let me know how this post helped you!

How to Get Traffic

Blogging Part 2

Want to learn how to get more traffic? In the last few blogs I did Creating Money Online and Small Business concept/Ideas I spoke about many ways to make money –  one of them being your actual blog. Many people asked me how? How are others actually capable of making a solid and decent living off blogging. In order to be able to make any kind of money from blogging you’ll need to have readers. Weather you have a massive amount of subscribers or top Google ranking. You just need a high volume of readers to make a decent amount of moula. So let’s discuss:

How to Get Subscribers:

 1. Finding the right topic to Blog about!

When blogging you need to figure out what people are looking to read.  This is where your market research will kick in. You’ll need to pick a target and figure out what they like to read! You can find out in how to pick the right keyword in my next blog post about ‘’Choosing the Right Key Words’’ It’ll demonstrate how to use Google Keyword Tool.

2. Back Links(text links):

People think there’s some crazy formula to make a text link work… news flash: there is none. A back link is quite simple… It takes effect after perhaps 3-6months. What it does is place your blog higher and higher on Google’s pages it’s called ’’Google Ranking’’. Why is it important? Ex: Someone is looking for a nice restaurant to go to – they end up looking online; they type in ‘’Restaurants in Montreal’’ the top 10 most optimization websites with the most back links will pop up on Google’s front page. All you really need to do is copy your URL and start posting it to comments you make on blogs, in online directories, Yahoo Answers, Reddit, and any social media possible ex: Twitter, WordPress, Facebook Linkedin etc

3. Paid Advertising: (For fast results)

If you want fast results then pay Yahoo or Google for the Ads; or you can ask a super popular blog to place and ad on their blog. However, those can be pricey and risky. Monitor the results of the ads – you need to make sure your target is being reached and your getting the results you’re looking for. For example: I use Google Adwords – as a keyword I put ‘’Work’’ I had 91 clicks from just that keyword. Compared to all the rest it was the most successful (when counting clicks) however, I didn’t get that many subscribers (which was my goal) So I realized I could no long use this keyword because it was taking up a lot of money and giving me no results. Whereas ‘’Business Start-ups’’ was giving me everything I needed from comments to subscribers. I hope you get my drift.

4. Original Creative Content/Material:

As I said in my last post this is key because sometimes you can even become popular if you make something original. Take the Youtube celebrity Michael Pham; she started making vblogs on make-up tutorials and is probably making $1 for every 1000 views. One of her videos has 2 711 272 views… that’s $2711/week (she makes videos once a week) . She was one of the first people to create make-up tutorials; not only that her videos were so creative and appealing. She has almost 1 million fans on Facebook.  Think outside the box and be the first to do so; that’s how you’ll get popular.

Those are only a few ways to get loads of subscribers try searching other ways or even creating your own! You do however, need a lot of time or at least have a team of people who can help you get all of these done in a short amount of time for maximum results. Back links are the most difficult in terms of results vs. time.

Let me know how this blog helped you and what you would like to hear next!

Top 9 Inspiring Entrepreneur Movies/Videos

Glengarry Glen Ross – DirectedBY: James Foley

Image

This is a story about real estate agents and their hectic lives. It lets you in on what they go through and how they manage or mismanage their affairs. I personally think it’s a great movie to watch mainly because it shows different scenarios in the work force that will or can lead to hardship or success, especially in the sales field.

Watch the thriller at:

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0104348/

The Social Network – DirectedBY: David Fincher

I’m sure you’ve all heard of it, The Social Network was a huge hit. It’s Imageno surprise to me the movie made it big considering how it goes into depth about how the invincible Facebook was created as well as what happened in the process. The movie demonstrated betrayal, loss, first and third rate planning , and major success. I’d say it can teach many modern entrepreneurs innumerable business affairs perhaps even personal such as when to start marketing and advertising, what dedicated development is, the down falls of partnerships and much more. I suggest you definitely check it out.

What Matter to you –CreatedBY: Jr0canest

This video is posted only on YouTube on May 9, 2008 which has now has 436,404 views. ImageIt was posted to enter a contest created by the Vancouver Film School(VFS). The champion with the best video would win a $20 000 scholarship at their school (BTW: VSF is the best film school in Canada). Anyway, I stumbled upon the video when I was looking to acquire some inspiration to keep me motivated and focused on my film making. After watching it I sure did get quite  a potent boost.. His speech is so passionate it forwards all of his passion directly to you. I used to watch it daily, which explains how much of an inspiration it was for me. The main objective of the video was to show how much digital design mattered to him and how he pushes himself to work hard in order to get what he wants; and doesn’t stop until it’s done (FYI: he won the contest). I highly recommend this one and it’s only 2minute and 20 seconds long, totally worth it.

The Great Dictator– DirectedBY:Charlie Chaplin

Even though this video isn’t necessarily about business but teaches Imageyou plentiful things about becoming successful in both life and business (in my opinion). I’ve attached a link to its YouTube video where he gives a heart pounding speech. The speech he preaches is absolutely outstanding and to some life changing. It makes you realize something in life; however I can’t completely elaborate at the moment. You’ll understand once you watch it and felt it’s magnificence yourself! The video I’ve linked isn’t the exact clip from the original movie but an edited recreation. I found the music added an extra touch and the imagines gave us a bigger picture as to what the speech meant.

Feeling depressed and lost  she selfishly decides to leave him. He refused to leave his son and insisted he should be the one to have custody of his son. Due to his lack of money he decides to compete for a broker’s position. This is a true story, moreover a heartbreaking one.  Watch the movie to find out the ending; it is truly remarkable!

The Corporation – BY:Mark Achbar and Jennifer Abbott

The Corporation is a brilliant, out of sight movie. It can Imagehelp an entrepreneur to properly invest in his business. Know what the results of  your actions and how your business will better or destroy in our society.  It takes a GIANT step into the corporate world and shows you how they think and what their priorities are; and believe me it’s scary.  I very highly recommended it.

Boiler Room – DirectedBY: Ben Younger

It’s a movie about a high school dropout who lands a job Imageat a brokers company. He soon realizes  not everything that had been  said is actually what it’s made out to be. Shows you just how nasty some businesses are same thing said about some brokers.

Check the trailer out here:

http://www.imdb.com/video/screenplay/vi1622868249/

Limitless- DirectedBY:Neil Burger

Limitless is an outstanding movie about growth. Even Imagethough it’s highly fictional it tells the story of a man who goes from being nothing to being masterly; all because of a little pill call NZT. Along his new path of success he faces many challenges in which he is not on NZT. A reason to watch this would be to see the path of failure and success sudden fall in and out someone’s hands. I suppose you could use your imagination and replace NZT with something more along our lines of reality, for example: con artists, cheating etc.
